Engineering Co-Op

Fastforming is a plastic thermoforming company in Rittman, Ohio. We are currently looking for a Part Time Engineering Co-Op who has Solid Works, Fanuc Robot and RoboDK experience. 

At FastForming we make sure every one of our Co-op students gains valuable work experience that will help them with their career and their next opportunity.

You will experience our production thermoforming environment and have an opportunity to observe workflow and work cell setup.  We are a short to medium run production shop, we are constantly creating new work cells, and you will participate in putting several together. 

You will have an opportunity to operate our thermoforming machines, use handheld and larger power tools including drills, drill presses, band saws, table saws and more.

You will also operate one of our four CNC Machines.  We have both 3-Axis and 5-Axis machines in our factory.

You are also required to develop a Thermoforming Tool/Pattern from a customer’s CAD File.  This includes creating a stock model, assembling the stock, programming the CNC to cut the pattern, setting up the CNC, and cutting the pattern.

Optionally you may have an opportunity to program one of the 5-Axis CNC routers to trim a part for production and learn shop floor documentation. If this is something that you are interested in, and you have these qualifications, please reach out to me to set up an interview.
