Summer 2024 Intern, Employee and Labor Relations (Human Resources)

Your Opportunity as an Employee and Labor Relations Intern 

The Employee and Labor Relations Department serves as a key resource to provide support and guidance, across the entire organization, to individuals and teams when navigating personal, professional, and labor/union-related challenges.  As an intern within our Human Resources – ER/LR Department you will be an integral partner to the team and will participate and lead meaningful work and projects that span a variety of HR-related functions. 


Location: Orrville, OH 


Work Arrangements: On-site, 25% on-site expectations  


In this role you will:  

Work cross-functionally throughout the ER/LR team, supporting internal Corporate and Operations customers and absence and leave processes 

Facilitate projects within the ER/LR department, which may encompass absence and leaves, employee exit and termination processes, time tracking, state wage & hour requirements, preparing for labor negotiations, etc. 

Enhance ER/LR knowledge through departmental showcases and shadowing opportunities 


What we are looking for:  

A Junior or Senior standing in school with requisite educational experience in Human Resources, or another relevant field   

A GPA of 3.0 or higher   

A well-rounded skill set including strong time-management, communication, teamwork skills, attention to detail, knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism in an HR environment as well as a passion for HR and serving our employee population
