Electrical Engineer

Fives ST Corp. is a member of the Fives Group of companies ( and an international player in Process Engineering. Our products include Surface Treatment Systems, typically Degreasing and Pickling lines. We provide these facilities to the metal processing industry worldwide. Our offices are in Wadsworth, Ohio.

We have an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer. This person will work primarily on projects related to process control and system integration.  The ideal candidate can work well within a project team and can rapidly absorb reference information and apply studied analytical skills to new systems. He/she will represent Fives ST interests related to electrical, controls and automation throughout the life cycle of a project, from proposal to final acceptance.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Develop process control systems capable of operating degreasing and pickling lines.
  • Produce technical specifications to purchase equipment and services.
  • Specify and select commercial electrical / control system components.
  • Prepare motor and instrument lists.
  • Prepare system functional description based on the system operating sequence.
  • Assist the Purchasing department in qualifying and selecting sub suppliers.
  • Technical review of sub supplier quotations to ensure compatibility with the process.
  • Direct and oversee electrical / controls work sub-contracted to outside firms.
  • Provide pre-sale technical assistance and participate in design reviews with the end user.
·        Interact with members of sales and project execution teams.
·        Able to travel to end user site to collect field information for internal and external use.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, BSEE or ASCEE working towards a BSEE.
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience as an Electrical or Controls Engineer related to chemical or
