Full-Time Certified Teacher - Dartmouth, MA

LearnWell is currently looking for a motivating and creative teacher to educate students who are being hospitalized in Dartmouth, MA. In this position you will work with adolescent students in a small classroom setting and supporting them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment.

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material for an average of 8 to 12 students; in a small group setting
  • Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum.
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
  • Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student

Position entails a 40 hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm or 7:30-4:00 based on candidate preference. Qualifications
  • B.A/B.S degree from an accredited institution
  • MA State Teaching Certification
  • Comfortable working with students aged 13-18 years old
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of subject matter relevant to students needs
