2023-2024 Lake Area Free Clinic AmeriCorps VISTA Support Coordinator

Goal of the Overall VISTA Project: The VISTA Member activities will increase access

to medical and dental care to the low income and uninsured population by providing

efficiencies and the groundwork of integral components to ensure sustainability and

delivery of high quality healthcare to the most vulnerable populations.

Lead in implementation of Electronic Medical Record (EHR) Practice Fusion (PF).

Member Activity: Research and develop expertise in the EHR

Practice Fusion. Member Activity: Plan and create user manual for EHR PF. Member Activity: Lead

implementation of EHR PF at LAFC. Member Activity: Train LAFC staff and volunteers on use of EHR

PF. Member Activity: Maintain “Champion” status of of EHR PF.

Support WAFCC Standards of Excellence.

Member Activity: Maintain WAFCC Gold Standards of

Excellence. Member Activity: Update Standards based on changes from WAFCC.

Engage with AmeriCares Roadmap to Health Equity project.

Member Activity: Become an expert with Roadmap initiative

and actively participate in training, webinars and learning collaboratives. Member Activity: Use

resources to submit data to the Roadmap data repository. Member Activity: Maintain documentation of Roadmap processes.

Collaborate with volunteer coordinator along with marketing and development director.

Member Activity: Engage with the volunteer coordinator in

ongoing volunteer engagement and recognition for clinic volunteers. Member Activity: Engage with

marking and outreach team to create infographics and information regarding clinic events and

services.
