Accounts Payable

SUMMARY: The Accounts Payable position has an understanding and applies generally accepted account principles as they relate to the organization. Responsible for creating, and maintaining records, and interpreting financial information. Compiles financial information, processes journal entries, and creates payment of invoices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows Ohio Gratings, Inc.’s established accounting processes.
Prepares accounting related entries for numerous registers, journals, and logs.
Processes daily entry and processing of checks weekly for accounts payables.
AFS analysis, including supporting documentation organization and entering payables.
Approves POs and records transfer trucks for Texas plant.
Responsible for monthly closing, reoccurring entries, and recording invoices, and assists in payables for WACO.
Responsible for general ledger for WACO Knecht.
Performs reoccurring entries, accrual analysis, bad debt reserve analysis, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis for Ohio Gratings, Inc., and Ohio Gratings Texas Closing Assist.
Performs such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCIES:
An associate degree in accounting, or business with an emphasis in accounting is required. Should be proficient in Word and Excel, have strong written and oral communications skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, have strong organizational and analytical skills, and possess the ability to read and understand technical forms and financials reports. Two or more years’ experience in accounting is preferred.
