IT Operations Technician

As an IT Operations Technician with Epic Hosting, you will be part of the team's central nervous system- monitoring the entire Hosting infrastructure stack and responding swiftly to problems. You will employ investigative and troubleshooting skills across a variety of tools to identify and resolve both routine and complex network, hardware, virtualization, and presentation problems. Requirements


  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, initiative, and leadership abilities
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
  • Available to work second or third shift hours
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and other Internet protocols as well as tools such as ping and traceroute is a plus
  • Knowledge of LINUX, especially Redhat or CentOS is a plus
  • CCNA, MCSE, Network + or Linux + certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of VMware is a plus
  • COVID-19 vaccination

As a member of the Hosting team at Epic you'll be responsible for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting. Those responsibilities include:
  • Following policies and procedures and escalating when policies or procedures are not followed
  • Escalating potential security incidents and providing relevant information
  • Meeting all security responsibilities defined in policies and procedures
