SUMMARY: The Inventory Specialist will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to initiate and drive an integrated ERP inventory cycle count system within the entire plant. This position will also perform regular account audits and locating of raw materials, WIP items and finished materials. Further responsibilities involve organizing stock and making suggestions to improve and sustain an ever-changing environment. This position will be highly involved with the use our ERP system to complete inventory transactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Count parts and bundles with accuracy.
Conduct audits on drops, scrap, and all inventory aspects.
Complete housekeeping duties as assigned by management while maintaining a clean workspace.
Safely operate material handling equipment, to include but not limited to tow motors, forklifts, jib cranes, and bridge cranes.
Organize complex equipment and work centers.
Work to resolve shipment and inventory delays.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND PROFICIENCIES: An associate’s degree or equivalent amount of work experience is required along with a minimum of 2 years in direct manufacturing. This position must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and other computer applications; be able to read and interpret documents such as job order travelers, procedures and instructions and be able to write short notes or memos; possess the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and management. Must be able to read tape measures and scales and perform mathematical operations of whole numbers and fractions in both standard and metric units of measure. Adding and subtracting two digit numbers and multiplying and dividing by 10s and 100s without the use of a calculator is required. Knowledge of how to safely operate various material handling equipment and cranes, and the ability to multitask while under pressure is required. Knowledge of ERP systems (i.e. Epicore 10) is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is encountered with repetitive movement tasks, which requires the associate to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, grasp, push and pull grating material of various size and weights for long periods of time. Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds, using proper lifting techniques, help from another associate or other available resources such as lifting or moving equipment. Must be able to focus on items for extended periods of time to perform counts.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential duties of this job the associate is regularly working on the production floor. The work environment requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Exposure to noise, dust, heat and cold on a regular basis. Exposure to machine and tool hazards requiring care and attention to safety rules and standards.
