Job summary
The Engineering Intern will assist the project designers in planning and preparing engineering designs for Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and performing field erosion and sediment control inspections on roadway and bridge projects throughout the State of Ohio.
The Engineering Intern must have some understanding of computer aided drafting, preferably AutoCAD.
The Engineering Intern must have some understanding of erosion and sediment control as it relates to roadway and bridge construction. Specific job training will be provided.
Primary duties will include working with the engineering designer to develop SWPPPs for roadway and bridge construction projects. Many of these projects are Ohio Department of Transportation Projects. The Engineering Intern will assist and perform erosion and sediment control inspection services for projects designed by Coyle SWPPP Professionals.
Secondary responsibilities will be to assist the Engineering team in creating company wide inventory forms and workflow procedures.
The Engineering Intern position is a full-time position, though part-time can be negotiated.
 
Abilities required
The Engineering Intern must be able to walk construction sites to perform inspection services. You will be on heavy highway construction sites along with construction laborers, heavy highway equipment, and construction vehicles.
The Engineering Intern must have a clean driving record to operate Coyle SWPPP Professional’s vehicles.
The Engineering Intern must be a self-starter, and able to make decisions when required. You must be a team player, able to work with others, and represent Coyle SWPPP Professionals in a positive manner.
Coyle SWPPP Professionals is a drug free workplace and drug testing will be performed.
