ABHS has several internship opportunities available to SWTs, CTs, and Psychology internship students. Interns will gain valuable experience through a combination of didactic learning sessions, individual and group supervision, and clinical work with various client populations.

We are offering two types of positions: 1) Intake and 2) Clinical:

Intake interns answer phones, conduct pre-screening clinical interviews with new referrals, and triage scheduling of clients with therapists. This role provides an opportunity to develop beginning clinical interviewing and brief counseling skills, and learn about the administrative processes in the operations of the agency.

Clinical interns conduct mental health and substance use disorder initial diagnostic assessments, engage in treatment planning, and provide individual, family, and group counseling, social psychotherapy, and specialized assessment, when appropriate. This role allows interns to build on their basic clinical skills in preparation for post-graduate training.

All interns will enjoy a collegial environment with clinical and administrative staff members who are dedicated to the growth and development of future professionals.
