Grant Writer

Grant Writer Job Description:

§ Grant writers write proposals to apply for financial grants allocated by government departments, companies, foundations, and trusts.
§ Write coherent, organized, and compelling proposals. They will apply knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach income goals.
§ Collaborate with team members in the organization to assist with other fundraising projects and develop relationships with key stakeholders. To ensure success, the grant writer must write well, have proficient knowledge of fundraising methods, and be committed to the mission of POWER.
§ Preferred applicants are deadline-driven team players with outstanding multitasking abilities.

Grant Writer Job Description:

§ PC-literate, Microsoft Excel skills, Google sheets and Zoom
§ Excellent writing skills, grammar and ability to accurately describe/translate data to internal and external cross-functional teams and grantmakers.
§ Develop relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders.
§ Display adherence to the mission of POWER.
§ Maintain proficient knowledge of the history and programs of POWER.
§ Assist with the execution of the development department's strategy.
§ Identify grant funding opportunities.
§ Write, submit, and manage grant proposals.
§ Furnish prospective funders with supporting documents.
