Hospital Advocacy Intern
Survivors who experience sexual assault and would like to have evidence collected by a trained professional, have the right to go to their local hospital for a sexual assault evidence collection kit. Survivors who have experienced intimate partner violence can seek medical care for injuries at their local hospital. Hope and Healing provides hospital advocacy to hospitals in Medina and Summit Counties. Hospital Advocacy can entail meeting the survivor at the hospital, staying with the survivor for the duration of their medical care, safety planning, providing resources and information, and assisting the survivor in entering our emergency shelter.
Interested applicants can apply through Handshake or submit their resume and interest via email to the Intern Coordinator, Holly Liebhart, at HollyL@Hope-Healing.org
