Ashland County is a mostly rural area, which appeals to outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. We are located an hour south of Cleveland and an hour north of Columbus, if trees aren’t your thing. We are a small band of extremely hardworking, dedicated (but good-humored) public servants, committed to making a difference in our community. We are supportive without micromanaging, and are looking to add one more our number. Maybe you’re the one. Maybe you like potlucks. Yeah; we do too.
In addition to the outrageous level of job satisfaction you will no doubt experience, our County Commissioners have graciously authorized us to pay you and grant you valuable benefits. The exact size of your paycheck depends upon your courtroom experience. Benefits include: health, dental, term life insurance, FSA, and membership in OPERS. We can also engage in peer support upon your return from Court on an ad hoc basis (although we are not properly licensed nor trained mental health professionals, and are unable to guarantee a positive result).
If you have the qualities that we’re looking for, take the first step to getting out of your current gig (which is so awesome that you’re looking at job postings) and forward a cover letter, resume, and writing sample to the Ashland County Prosecuting Attorney at prosecutor@ashlandcounty.org.
