$1,000 Sign On Bonus - FT Envision Academy Administrator

SUMMARY: The Envision Academy (EA) Administrator ensures each EA student is given opportunities to excel and reach their academic potential. The EA Administrator communicates with each student's districts of residence to ensure all academic requirements of each district are met in order to receive payment from districts. The Administrator will also be responsible for communicating with licensed educators to ensure curriculum and other school needs are provided in a manner that allows educators to deliver quality educational services. All Academy staff are expected to focus on Quality improvement as a part of their job responsibilities, in an effort to make the Academy a safe and healing environment for clients and staff. This expectation includes, but is not limited to: teamwork, improving service delivery, fulfilling department goals, and other job-specific tasks that encourage excellence. Envision Academy Leaders have the added expectation of creating and fostering an environment in which Quality Improvement is both encouraged and expected, and to accordingly hold staff accountable. The schedule for the Envision Academy Administrator will be similar to a teacher's typical schedule. An individual in this position will work the school schedule of August - June.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: It is the responsibility of each employee to be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ and to adhere to the Standard of Moral Conduct and Statement of Faith. Job-specific essential functions include the following:
  • Makes every effort to maintain a 'team first' spirit and atmosphere within the workplace environment - fostering and maintaining appropriate working relationships within the Envision Academy/Children's Residential Center team, and with other Agency departments, as well.
  • Upon intake of residents, they will obtain release of records from resident's guardian in order to receive records from the district of residence.
  • Send service agreement to district of residents communicating the education services Envision Academy at CCHO provides that will be billed monthly.
  • Contact the district of residence school guidance counselor and EMIS coordinator, including Special Education Director if applicable. Ensure all graduation, testing, credit, transcript requirements are being met and copies of all documents are all on file.
  • Coordinate with district of residence ensuring ETR/ IEP compliance.
  • Educate districts of residence of Envision Academy's role clearly, so that districts of residence understand the educational services we provide and how students should stay enrolled in their district while receiving educational services from Envision Academy at Christian Children's Home of Ohio.
  • Utilize OH ID application to manage teacher licensures.
  • Identify and schedule professional development opportunities for employed educators to receive CEU's and maintain licensure requirements.
  • Maintain licensure requirements via professional development opportunities, etc.
  • Receive all necessary trainings from CCHO including TBRI, SCM, CPR, etc.
  • Act as the standardized test proctor utilizing the TIDE- Ohio State Test Portal.
  • Schedule & coordinate completion of NWEA to show students individual academic growth.
  • Communicate with Norwayne School District, as needed, to facilitate payment from district of residence.
  • Complete Title I N/D form received by ODE and ensure funds are collected.
  • Collaborate with CCHO finance department to send invoices and collect payment. Report any non-payments or delayed payments to Program Manager.
  • Ensure credit requirements are met based on ODE standards and district of residence standards.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Maintain active teaching licensure through ODE. Master's degree in Education preferred. Experience communicating with Districts of Residence departments such as EMIS, Special Education Directors, and Guidance Counselors preferred.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret education documents such as transcripts, IEPs, and testing requirements. Ability to write, evaluate and teach curriculum. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
 
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Working understanding of education terminology and necessary requirements to fulfill specific education duties.
 
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have ability to use a computer, familiarity with Outlook and Word, Excel, and OH ID including ODE website.
 
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: RESA trainer preferred. Active Ohio Teaching License required.
 
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.

Ability to maintain compliance/certification with CCHO's requirements for using physical restraints (SCM: Safe Crisis Management) including sufficient strength and completion of extensive training. Physical ability to respond to crisis, including, but not limited to: running and performing physical restraints.
