Service Sales Representitive

SUMMARY
Engineer, design and sell HVAC, plumbing and controls related projects to our current customer base and prospective customers. Estimate, present and close new maintenance contracts to prospective accounts, and manage existing maintenance contracts with existing customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Develop new accounts in assigned markets and territories by preparing prospect lists, creating specific sales strategies and implementation of plans.
2. Maintain existing customer account list including maintenance customers by ongoing contact with customers, responding to their needs and advising customer of ongoing system needs to improve system performance or reliability.
3. Engineer/design and sell HVAC projects including refrigerant retrofits, unit replacements, D.D.C. control systems, mechanical system retrofits and maintenance agreements.
4. Prepare estimates and make presentations to customers on services to be provided.
5. Submit weekly status and call reports.
6. Complete and submit weekly sales report.
7. Review assigned accounts profitability and cost status for contract renewal and rate adjustments, as necessary.
8. Participate in professional association(s) as selected by the company management.
9. Complete all required turnover paperwork on projects or contracts sold.
10. Review projects at completion with customer and obtain customer satisfaction.
11. Follow up on leads generated from others including field service techs.
12. Seek cross-selling opportunities for other departments in the organization and coordinate as necessary with other departmental staff to close orders.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (mechanical engineering) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
LEED accreditation – existing buildings within 3 years.
