Activity Assistant
The purpose of this position is to assist the Activity Director in implementing activities in compliance with resident's needs.
DUTIES:
- Implements programs of individual and group activities based on resident's needs
- Conduct Resident Council
- Implement evening and weekend functions as assigned
- Attend in-services and staff meetings
- Implement room visits and in-room activities for assigned residents
- Document resident's attendance to activity sessions as planned
- Observe infection control procedures
- Be responsible for resident's safety under his/her supervision
- Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner
- Follow all facility policies and procedures
- Maintain a neat, clean attire and consistently present an appropriate professional manner
- Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
- Consistently work cooperatively with residents, resident's family/representatives, facility staff, physicians and ancillary service providers
- Understand and comply with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations and requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
- Applicant must be able to speak, read and write the English language in an understandable manne
