Activity Assistant

The purpose of this position is to assist the Activity Director in implementing activities in compliance with resident's needs.
DUTIES:
  • Implements programs of individual and group activities based on resident's needs
  • Conduct Resident Council
  • Implement evening and weekend functions as assigned
  • Attend in-services and staff meetings
  • Implement room visits and in-room activities for assigned residents
  • Document resident's attendance to activity sessions as planned
  • Observe infection control procedures
  • Be responsible for resident's safety under his/her supervision
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner
  • Follow all facility policies and procedures
  • Maintain a neat, clean attire and consistently present an appropriate professional manner
  • Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
  • Consistently work cooperatively with residents, resident's family/representatives, facility staff, physicians and ancillary service providers
  • Understand and comply with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations and requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
  • Applicant must be able to speak, read and write the English language in an understandable manne
