Dietary Manager
The Avenue at Wooster, a long term care facility, is looking to hire a Full Time Dietary Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate should be actively working towards becoming a Certified Dietary Manager or has graduated from an approved Dietary Manager or Dietetic course which meets federal, state and local regulations. Not a certified dietary manager? We will invest in you and help you reach your goals of becoming one! Applicant must have previous experience working in long term care and should have previous management experience.
Applicant must:
- be able to walk/stand throughout the day
- bend/reach
- lift/carry
- be able to work with chemicals/cleaning agents
- be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
- be able to communicate with residents/staff/visitors in a professional manner
- be a team player
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- purchase food/products from venders approved by the Company
- directs and supervises all dietary personnel and functions
- maintains cost records and works to meet budget guidelines
- interviews and trains new employees
- educates, evaluates and disciplines when needed
- maintains department schedule to ensure each shift is covered
- develops and maintains a cleaning schedule
- process new diet orders/changes when received
- ensures proper temperatures, cleanliness and order are in order
- ensures food/supplies are available
- ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
- ensures proper meals are being delivered
