ONGOING - Esports Facility Supervisor Student Assistant

NOTE: This position is an ongoing position and may not currently be recruiting. If interested, please submit your application materials and the program manager will reach out to you if/when openings occur.

Esports Facility Supervisors will be responsible for the daily operations and supervision of the recreational and club esports facilities. Primary duties will include opening, closing, supervision, access control, troubleshooting, membership management, and other duties essential for effective operation of the spaces. Esports Facility Supervisors will enforce policies and procedures in a professional manner and ensure the appropriate use and cleanliness of equipment. As the first source of interaction with students and guests, the Esports Facility Supervisors will be responsible for providing basic program information for the entire Club Esports program. Previous knowledge of esports, gaming, and/or computer is recommended but not required. Candidates may be scheduled during university holiday breaks including Fall, Winter, and Spring breaks. Students will not be scheduled during University closures.  

There may also be opportunities for Esport Facility Supervisors to participate in summer camp leadership positions

Summer camp councilors and coaches will be expected to full-fill duties including:

1. Lead gaming sessions in particular games with the emphasis on teaching new users how to play.

2. Coach Campers in different games to help them understand strategy in the game to increase their game knowledge and skill.

3. Lead self directed team building activities both indoors and outdoors.

4. Escort groups of campers around the campus to activities including: exercise, classes, meals, gaming sessions and more.

5. Monitor campers’ activities and act as a role model for middle and high school students.

6. Lead physical activities in the rec center on campus.

7. Communicate campers’ concerns, problems and issues with campers’ parents and UA staff.

8. Track various data points during the day on campers’ activity using google sheets and drive.

9. Assist staff in classroom duties and learn curriculum to be a backup teacher if needed.

10. Stay in the dorms overnight to keep track of the students and assist them if needed.
