Marketing Intern

We are hiring a marketing intern to assist our Chief Operating Officer across the marketing stack. You will get immersive, strategic-level experience in Public Relations, Social Media Marketing, Paid Advertising, Customer Management and more. Our current marketing efforts are focused on growing two customer segments within the publishing industry: writers and publishers. 

The intern will identify opportunities, understand customer needs, and shape strategies that drive growth. Under the mentorship of the Chief Operating Officer, the intern will lead a strategic campaign for one of the customer segments. This will involving market research and strategy discussions, as well as designing and implementing the campaign. 

We're a small start up that isn't afraid to move fast and break things. We're looking for a creative go-getter who isn't afraid to take risks, thinks zines are cool, and does, in fact, think outside the box. We're prepared to give the right person a lot of leeway to shake things up but we're also a highly collaborative work environment that favors early conversations. It's important to us that all of our employees also be artists: writers, painters, photographers, scrapbookers. Bring us your hobbies. We consider five hours of your work week every week to be for on-the-clock creative time.

This internship is designed for undergraduate or graduate candidates seeking a long-term career in marketing.
