Revenue Cycle Operations Analyst

About the role

As a Revenue Cycle Operations Analyst, you keep the data flowing through our platform accurate. Every day, our system turns paper insurance remittances, bank deposits, and payer correspondence into clean electronic files that healthcare providers use to post payments. When something doesn’t convert, balance, or match, it becomes an exception, and you are the person who resolves it. Just as important, you will help us get better at this: as volume grows, you will spot the patterns behind recurring exceptions and help fix them at the source so they stop coming back.

This is a hands-on, in-office role working directly with our operations, implementation, and product teams. We are hiring for potential, not a resume. No prior healthcare or revenue cycle experience is required, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. If you are sharp, detail-oriented, and the kind of person who can’t leave a number alone until it ties out, we want to talk to you.

What you’ll do

Resolve exceptions. Work the daily exception queue across your assigned clients, comparing extracted remittance data against the source documents, correcting what’s wrong, and closing items within same-day and 24-hour service levels.

Map payer codes. Translate proprietary payer adjustment codes into standard CARC/RARC and group codes, and audit AI-generated mappings, so the electronic remittance files we deliver are accurate.

Keep daily operations running. Download remittances from payer portals, validate that lockbox and ACH deposits processed, confirm correspondence is indexed and categorized correctly, and track down missing or unreadable files with banks and clients.

Work with the most advanced tools available. You’ll use cutting-edge AI built directly into our platform, not as a side experiment but as the core of how the work gets done. You’ll move faster and handle more volume than traditional revenue cycle roles, and your judgment is the final check on quality.

Find the root cause. Spot recurring issues (a payer formatting quirk, a misclassified document type, a balancing rule the system doesn’t handle yet) and turn them into clear, well-documented tickets for engineering so the same exception stops appearing.

Improve how we operate. Help sharpen our SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and quality checks as volume grows, and support implementation and client support work when the queue is light.

What success looks like

First few weeks: you’ve learned how insurance remittances work, our platform, and our exception workflow; shadowed our RCM Specialist; and started working exceptions with full review of your work.

By ~8 weeks: you’re independently owning exceptions and code mapping for your assigned clients within service levels, with consistently high accuracy on quality review.

Ongoing: exception volume keeps dropping because of the root causes you surface, clients get accurate files on time, and you take on more clients and responsibility across operations, implementation, or client support.

Who you are

Analytical and detail-oriented. You notice when numbers don’t tie out, and you dig in until you know why.

Curious about root causes. You don’t just clear the queue. You ask why an issue keeps happening and what would prevent it.

Steady with high-volume work. Much of this job is careful, repetitive review. You take pride in doing it accurately and efficiently, day after day.

Quick to pick up tools. You’re comfortable in spreadsheets and web applications and excited to use AI tools to work faster.

High potential and eager to grow. You learn fast, take feedback well, and want this role to be a launch point into broader operations and client work.

Nice to have

A degree or coursework in accounting, finance, business, or healthcare administration.

Exposure to medical billing, insurance claims, explanations of benefits (EOBs), or revenue cycle work, for example in a physician office or billing company.

Experience working with data in Excel, or with AI tools.
