City of Flagstaff Outreach VISTA
The AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer will build the outreach capacity of the City of Flagstaff Sustainability Office, which struggles to reach new audiences for engagement, volunteer recruitment, and participation in services, especially those living in poverty. The VISTA will develop and coordinate best practices to reach a broader group of residents with the goal of creating stronger connections and a healthier, more vibrant community. This work will assist Flagstaff’s COVID-19 recovery by connecting residents with each other and with vital government services. By connecting residents to important community resources, the VISTA will help the City of Flagstaff fight poverty in the surrounding community.
