Economico Animal Clinic is seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Senior Veterinary Scientist / Veterinary Research Specialist to contribute to the advancement of animal health, veterinary science, and evidence-based animal care.We are looking for a professional with a strong background in veterinary science, animal diseases, clinical research, and scientific investigation who can help improve animal health outcomes and support our organization's long-term development.Our vision is to build a stronger veterinary healthcare organization and expand our operations into five additional states across the United States.If you are passionate about scientific discovery, animal welfare, and veterinary innovation, we encourage you to apply.
π¬ Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research into animal diseases, veterinary medicine, and animal health.- Evaluate scientific evidence to support improvements in veterinary care.- Develop research proposals, study protocols, and scientific reports.- Analyze research findings and recommend evidence-based approaches to animal healthcare.- Collaborate with veterinarians, laboratory scientists, and other research professionals.- Review emerging veterinary technologies, treatments, and disease-prevention methods.- Maintain accurate research records and scientific documentation.- Follow applicable research ethics, animal-welfare requirements, and laboratory safety procedures.- Contribute to research publications, presentations, and professional reports.- Identify opportunities for scientific collaboration and future research initiatives.
π Qualifications
- A relevant advanced degree in Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Science, or a related field appropriate to the position.- Experience in veterinary research, animal health, or veterinary clinical science.- Strong scientific writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.- Knowledge of animal diseases, research methodology, and evidence-based veterinary practice.- Ability to interpret scientific data and communicate research findings.- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.- Research publications, clinical research experience, or experience leading scientific projects is an advantage.Professional licensing: Candidates whose responsibilities involve practicing veterinary medicine in California must meet the applicable California veterinary licensing requirements. Research-only responsibilities may have different requirements.

The work arrangement will depend on the nature of the research.- Research planning, scientific writing, and some data-analysis activities may be performed remotely.- Clinical studies, laboratory work, and other hands-on research activities may require an on-site presence in Gardena, California.Specific working arrangements will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
