About the Role

The Kansas Department of Commerce is looking for a Broadband Grant Manager to support the Broadband Director in administering and developing the State of Kansas Broadband Grant Program. This role sits at the center of Kansas's effort to expand internet access and adoption statewide — managing the full grant lifecycle and serving as a key resource for grant recipients and partners.

What you'll do

- Oversee the full grant lifecycle: application reviews, contract management, fund disbursements, compliance monitoring, reporting, and contract closeout - Provide technical assistance and guidance to grant recipients navigating program requirements - Coordinate with internal divisions across the Department and with external partners and stakeholders - Identify and evaluate additional broadband funding opportunities at the state and federal level - Maintain accurate grant data and produce clear, timely reports on program performance - Support program development and implementation efforts to expand broadband access and adoption throughout Kansas

Qualifications:

- Experience managing grants or contracts in a government, nonprofit, or regulated environment - Solid understanding of grant lifecycle management — from application review through closeout - Comfortable working across teams and communicating program requirements to diverse audiences - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data management skills - Knowledge of broadband or telecommunications policy is a plus, not a requirement
