Assistant Teacher (Full-Time, Part-Time & Substitute)

We’re a new, state-of-the-art early childhood center in Jerome Village. Our building has ten age-specific classrooms, an indoor gross motor space, two secure outdoor play yards, a full kitchen, a staff break room, and modern curriculum resources.

Families get organic, balanced meals, diapers and wipes, enrichment classes for every age group, and low ratios: 1:4 infants, 1:5 toddlers, 1:8 preschool, 1:10 PreK, and 1:12 school age. Low ratios mean you have time to actually teach and get to know each child.

Three ways to join our team

• Full-time (30–40 hrs/week): a consistent schedule in one classroom, full benefits, and room to grow into a lead teacher role
• Part-time: set mornings, afternoons, or weekdays that work around your classes
• On-call substitute: choose the days you’re available, and we’ll text you when a classroom needs coverage

What you’ll do

• Keep the classroom safe, clean, organized, and ready for learning
• Carry out lesson plans that build language, literacy, math, motor, and social-emotional skills
• Guide children with positive, age-appropriate support and smooth daily routines
• Share each child’s day with families through our parent app, photos, and conversation
• Work as part of a classroom team and take part in training and development

What we’re looking for

• Early childhood, education, or child development students and grads, or anyone with experience caring for young children (coursework, practicum, babysitting, and camp experience all count)
• Available for shifts between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM
• Able to lift 40 lbs and actively play with children
• Reliable transportation
• Must pass a background check
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to get certified
• Familiarity with Ohio licensing rules is a plus
