Club Operations and Management Internship

Longwood Cricket Club Club Operations and Management Internship

Summer 2027 | Memorial Day through Labor Day | Two positions

$20–$22 per hour based on relevant experience

Build on your private club experience with a summer focused on operations and leadership. As Longwood celebrates its 150th anniversary, you will work across our service areas, supervise team members under management guidance, and coordinate an event from planning through financial review.

Your summer at Longwood

Rotate through the café, terrace café, bar, front desk, and events. Learn the work in each area, understand its operating controls, and earn responsibility for leading service. Rotations are staggered so each intern has clear assignments and opportunities to supervise.

• Café and terrace café: service, daily pars, staff check-in and checkout, sales and ticket audits, and shift supervision.

• Bar: bartending, inventory, pars, ordering, and beverage service controls.

• Front desk: banquet event orders, event registrations, website updates, member communication, and event billing.

• Events: planning, setup, execution, teardown, and post-event review.

Manage your own Throwback Round Robin

Each intern will lead a separate event under the oversight of the Food & Beverage Director/Chef, coordinating with Tennis, Grounds, Finance, and the Social Committee. Additional oversight will be provided by the General Manager. You will develop the plan and budget, manage the BEO cycle, coordinate execution, reconcile billing, and present results and recommendations.

Learn alongside club leadership

Jay Hollen, Chef/F&B Manager, leads the program. Scheduled learning includes leadership liaison meetings, coaching with Jay and the General Manager, paid project time, and exposure to the broader club. Rotation reviews and a midpoint evaluation help guide your development.

Who we are looking for

Students pursuing hospitality, club management, business, events, or a related field who bring previous private club employment and hands-on service experience. We value sound judgment, initiative, clear communication, and interest in leading a team. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.
