Water and Wastewater Class II operator positions in Wintergreen, Virginia

 The Nelson County Service Authority is now hiring for the following positions: 

Water Plant Operator Class II (Full –Time) – This position is responsible for the successful operation of the Nelson County Service Authority Water treatment facility at our Wintergreen location. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required at minimum. Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license is good standing. Must have a minimum of a Class II Waterworks certification license, as established by the Virginia Department of Commerce Certification Board of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators. Experience was conventional treatment process and Membrane treatment preferred.  

Wastewater Plant Operator Class II (Full –Time) – This position is responsible for the successful operation of the Nelson County Service Authority Wastewater treatment facility at our Wintergreen location. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required at minimum. Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license in good standing. Must have a minimum of a Class II Wastewater works certification license, as established by the Virginia Department of Commerce Certification Board of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators. Experience with membrane technology preferred. 

Salary range: $53,000- $83,200 annually

This is a full-time position with excellent benefits package including insurance, paid time off and Virginia Retirement System.
