The Kansas City Club, a historic private social club, is being revived and hiring a General Manager to lead its reopening this November.
A rare opening-GM role: build the team, set the culture from day one. Seeking a hospitality executive with private club experience — pre-opening experience a major plus. Competitive executive compensation with performance incentives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day operations of the club, including food & beverage, member services, events, and facilities
- Build the opening team: recruit, hire, train, and set the service culture from day one
- Develop and manage the operating budget with full P&L responsibility
- Drive member engagement, programming, and retention for a newly relaunched membership
- Serve as the face of the club to members, staff, and the Kansas City community
- Partner with ownership on the club's next chapter and long-term vision
Qualifications We're Seeking
- 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in private clubs, luxury hotels, or resorts (General Manager, Assistant GM, Clubhouse Manager, Director of Operations, or F&B Director level)
- Pre-opening experience strongly preferred
- Proven team-building and staff development track record
- P&L and budget management experience
- A member-first service mindset and strong communication skills
