Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Full time Available Shifts :
Day Shift: 6am – 2pm; Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday
Swing Shift: 2pm -10pm; Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday
Overnight Shift: 10pm to 6am- TBD
Location: Orange, CA (working with 13-18 years old)
New Alternatives is seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join our team. New Alternatives works with children and youth at their residential home site who have experienced child abuse. The applicant will gain experience working within a residential treatment setting and will learn the skills necessary for de-escalation, emotional support, and behavioral support with clients at a high level of care treatment placement.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field is preferred.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance and have access to reliable automobile
- At least 6 months of experience working with children (volunteer work is acceptable)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide support to the child and family
- Ensuring the safety and supervision of the clients.
- Assist in coordination of transportation of youth.
- Capability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with the child and family
- Applicant needs to have patience, compassion, and confidence to work with a population of clients that have severe emotional dysregulation and behavioral instability.
- Maintain updated accurate daily log of services provided
