About the Role
The Compliance and Operations Associate supports the day-to-day functions of the compliance and operations teams, ensuring the organization adheres to applicable regulations, internal policies, and operational standards. This role sits at the intersection of regulatory oversight and operational execution — you'll help keep things running correctly, not just efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and review operational processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations - Assist in the development, maintenance, and communication of internal policies and procedures - Conduct routine audits and spot-checks across departments; flag discrepancies and follow through to resolution - Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance tracking and reporting purposes - Support regulatory filings, licensing renewals, and correspondence with oversight bodies - Coordinate with internal teams to respond to compliance-related inquiries and implement corrective actions - Track changes in relevant laws and regulations; summarize impacts for leadership - Help manage operational workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose process improvements
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a related field - Strong attention to detail — you catch what others miss - Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and compliance tracking tools - Clear written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines without dropping the ball - Familiarity with regulatory frameworks or compliance environments is a plus, but not required
Nice to Have
- Experience with compliance software or GRC platforms - Exposure to auditing or internal controls - Understanding of financial services, healthcare, or government regulatory environments
