HVS Brokerage is seeking a sharp, analytical Analyst to join our hospitality real estate brokerage team in Houston, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for a self-starter who is highly organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in commercial real estate investment.Working alongside experienced brokerage professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience evaluating hotel investment opportunities, analyzing financial performance, researching hospitality markets, and supporting real estate transactions. This position is well-suited for an early-career professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and turning financial and market information into meaningful investment analysis.This Houston-based opportunity is available on a full-time or part-time basis. Full-time starting compensation is $40,000 annually, plus bonus potential, with part-time compensation prorated based on the agreed-upon work schedule. What You Will DoAnalyze hotel operating statements, historical financial performance, budgets, and forecasts to evaluate property performance and investment opportunitiesBuild and maintain Excel financial models, including revenue projections, operating expenses, cash flow analyses, and investment returnsResearch hospitality markets, comparable sales, competitive properties, transaction activity, and industry trends to support property underwriting and pricing recommendationsEvaluate hotel operating metrics, including occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), revenue per available room (RevPAR), and market supply and demandAssist in preparing broker opinions of value (BOVs), offering memorandums, investment presentations, and other client-facing marketing materialsCollect, organize, and verify property-level financial information, market data, and transaction recordsSupport due diligence activities, transaction documentation, and the preparation of financial exhibits for prospective investors and clientsCollaborate with senior brokerage professionals throughout the sales process, helping monitor transaction milestones and maintain accurate, timely deliverablesMaintain confidentiality of sensitive client, financial, and transaction informationWhat We Are Looking ForStrong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with an interest in developing advanced financial modeling skillsAbility to interpret financial statements and work with financial dataStrong written and verbal communication skillsSharp attention to detail and a habit of verifying information rather than assumingAbility to prioritize assignments, stay organized, and meet deadlines as part of a collaborative teamDemonstrated interest in commercial real estate, finance, investment analysis, or the hospitality industryInitiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn from experienced industry professionalsPrevious internship or professional experience in commercial real estate, hospitality, finance, investment analysis, or a related field is a plus.
