Entertainment Investment Summer Analyst

Domain Entertainment, the firm’s entertainment vertical, manages investment vehicles focused on film, television, and music assets. Our commingled fund portfolios include film libraries, television participations, recording and publishing music rights, and select new production investments. This vertical also makes equity and debt investments in sports, theater, technology platforms, and other content-supportive opportunities. The combination of these sectors offers uncorrelated returns with intrinsic long-term value. 

 

Entertainment Investment Intern Role and Responsibilities 

  • Conduct market research on entertainment industry trends, content valuation drivers, performance trends, and comparable transactions across Film, TV and Music. 
  • Assist in building and maintaining cash-flow and valuation models for film libraries, television participations, and music royalty streams, and screen new pipeline opportunities. 
  • Support portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and internal reporting for management. 
  • Contribute to internal tools and analytics including proprietary databases and benchmarking analyses. 
  • Collaborate with investment and operations teams on data management, due diligence, and transaction support. 
  • Support the preparation of investment memoranda, presentations, and internal reports. 

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements 

  • Current undergraduate/graduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field or a recent graduate. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required. 
  • Familiarity with discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling and the fundamentals of asset valuation. 
  • Proven ability to analyze and translate data into actionable information 
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated interest in entertainment, media, or intellectual property finance, including a basic understanding of how film, television, and music rights generate revenue. 
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects. 
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to learn in a collaborative team environment. 
  • Exposure to royalty statements, participation reports, or other entertainment-specific reporting is a plus, not a requirement. 
  • Familiarity using AI tools to support research, modeling, and written work product, paired with the judgment to verify outputs before they are relied upon.
