Location: Hybrid remote in New York, NY 10001
Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 hours/week
Salary: $70,000–$100,000 base salary, depending on qualifications, experience, and location

The role
We're looking for a Data Analyst to bridge our technical data platform with the clients and government partners who rely on it, turning complex MBS and housing data into clear insights through reports, presentations, and direct client conversations, while supporting government contract deliverables and helping clients get the most out of our tools.
What you'll do
- Support government contract deliverables by building recurring reports and presentations for clients and leadership
- Analyze and monitor the quality of large financial and housing datasets using SQL and proprietary big data tools, surfacing trends and flagging inconsistencies
- Present findings and represent Recursion at client meetings and industry conferences
- Act as a solutions specialist for clients: running demos, answering questions, and troubleshooting our in-house analytics and GUI tools
- Partner with IT and product teams on key data points and visualization, and maintain the internal library of calculation formulas
About you
Required:
- US citizenship REQUIRED for fulfillment of government contracts
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Microsoft Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Sharp attention to detail
Preferred:
- Degree in Business Analytics or Applied Analytics
- Experience Python, Linux, Jira
- Working knowledge of housing and mortgage markets
