Early Childhood Program Director
Early Childhood Program Director
Hudson United Methodist Nursery School — Hudson, Ohio Part-Time | On-Site
About the Role
Hudson United Methodist Nursery School has been nurturing young learners for 50 years through a blend of faith, creativity, and a genuine commitment to excellence. We're looking for a director who brings vision, energy, and the kind of leadership that makes a real difference — not just someone to keep the lights on.
This is a role for someone who sees early childhood education as both a calling and a craft.
What You'll Do
Provide day-to-day leadership and administrative oversight of all nursery school operations. Support, mentor, and inspire a team of experienced, deeply committed early childhood educators. Develop and implement curriculum and programming that reflects our values and meets the needs of our families and community. Build and maintain strong relationships with families, church leadership, and the broader Hudson community. Manage enrollment, budgeting, licensing compliance, and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for program growth, innovation, and continuous improvement. Represent the school with warmth, professionalism, and purpose.
About You
Genuine experience in early childhood education — you know what good teaching looks like and why it matters. Demonstrated leadership ability; you've guided and developed other educators before. Familiar with Ohio childcare licensing requirements and regulatory compliance (or willing to get up to speed fast). Strong communicator — with kids, parents, staff, and community partners alike. Comfortable with the administrative side: budgets, enrollment, scheduling.
Nice to Have
Background in faith-based educational settings. Experience in nonprofit or community-based program management. Familiarity with NAEYC standards or accreditation processes.
Why Hudson United Methodist Nursery School
