Founding Marketing & Growth Associate

LifeText.ai is a seed-stage AI startup (co-founders from MIT & Cornell) building a platform that enables life improvement influencers - fitness coaches, nutritionists, therapists, spiritual guides, parenting experts - to create SMS-based content subscription businesses powered by AI. Think supercharged Patreon meets text messaging, designed to drive real behavioral change in subscribers' lives.

We're hiring a Founding Marketing & Growth Associate to work directly with our CMO on marketing strategy and execution, creator acquisition campaigns, and brand growth. This is a marketing-first role - you'll own campaigns, content, and growth from day one - while also contributing across customer success, sales support, and operational SOPs as the team scales.

This isn’t a typical internship. You’ll have real responsibilities from day one, use AI tools daily as part of your workflow, and gain hands-on experience across the full startup stack.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Marketing & Growth (Primary)
•  Plan, build, and run creator acquisition campaigns across paid social (Meta, TikTok, YouTube), organic content, and email.
•  Own LifeText's social media presence - content calendar, posting cadence, engagement strategy, and creator spotlights.
•  Build and optimize email/SMS outreach sequences for creator prospecting.
•  Create marketing collateral - case studies, ad creatives, one-pagers, and pitch materials using AI tools.
•  Analyze campaign performance - track spend, conversions, and pipeline impact. Adjust strategy based on data.
•  Support creator launch marketing - help live creators promote their subscriptions through coordinated content strategies.

Customer Success & Sales Support
•  Help onboard and support live creators - check-ins, troubleshooting, content coaching, and launch coordination.
•  Prep demo materials, join sales calls, and help close creators who came through your marketing efforts.
•  Monitor creator engagement and flag at-risk accounts before they churn.

Ops & SOPs
•  Document and refine internal processes as they're built - marketing workflows, creator onboarding steps, outreach playbooks.
•  Help build repeatable systems that the team can scale with as headcount grows.

AI-Native Workflow
•  Use multiple LLMs daily as core working tools - for drafting copy, analyzing data, building assets, and iterating on campaigns.

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN
•  Ownership of real end-to-end marketing functions at an early-stage AI startup.
•  Direct mentorship from a CMO who also leads product, sales, and operations.
•  Daily hands-on experience with AI tools in a real business context.
•  A portfolio of real campaigns with real budgets and measurable results.
•  Cross-functional experience: marketing, customer success, sales, and operations at a company early enough that you'll shape how each function works.
•  Potential exposure to C-suite meetings and fundraising (based on aptitude).

WHO YOU ARE
•  A marketing-first thinker who has actually run campaigns — not just studied them.
•  Familiarity with influencer marketing, the creator economy, or subscription businesses.
•  Familiarity with marketing Saas/software products.
•  AI-native (or close to it). You already use LLMs as part of how you work — for copywriting, research, analysis, content.
•  Strong writer and communicator who can craft compelling copy and adapt tone for different audiences.
•  Data-literate. You measure campaigns, not just run them.
•  Comfortable wearing multiple hats — you'll touch marketing, customer success, sales, and ops depending on what the team needs.
•  Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable with ambiguity.
•  Current student, recent graduate, or early-career professional.

NICE TO HAVE
•  Real-world campaign experience: managed ad budgets, grown social channels, or built email sequences that converted.
•  Experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Mailchimp/Klaviyo, Canva, Figma, or similar tools.
•  Customer-facing experience — support, success, account management, or client services.
•  Content creation skills: short-form video, graphic design, copywriting.
•  Prior AI tool usage beyond casual — prompt engineering, AI-assisted content workflows, automation.
•  Interest in health, wellness, fitness, or personal development (our creator verticals).

COMPENSATION & DETAILS
•  $15–25/hr (based on experience, hours, and performance).
•  25–40+ hours per week, flexible schedule.
•  Remote (US-based).
•  Reports directly to the CMO.
