role overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented Graphic Design Intern to join our team and help bring our visual identity to life. Working closely with the creative manager, you'll help build the foundation of our brand: the standards, guides, and evergreen assets that keep everything consistent, from internal decks to campaign creative. You'll also help keep our visual identity well defined and up to date as the brand grows. This is a hands-on role, ideal for a recent graduate who wants real-world experience with print and brand work.
location & logistics: full-time on-site in new york city. Starts in January 2027 reporting to the creative manager.
REQUIREMENTS
what you will own
- Work with the marketing team to support campaign creative, from concept through final files
- Help create brand standards and guides that define how our visual identity is used
- Build evergreen assets and templates, including internal decks and presentations
- Design internal assets such as signage and company communications for our team
- Create brand materials that carry out our visual identity across print and digital
- Prepare print-ready files and work with printers and vendors to ensure quality output
- Edit and retouch photography for use across brand materials as needed
- Support product team with designs for merchandise
- Support tech team with brand integration on software as needed
- Other tasks as assigned
what we're looking for
- Recent graduate (or graduating soon) with a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or relevant experience even if it isn’t school)
- A sharp eye for typography, layout, and detail, able to understand and execute well balanced visuals intuitively
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator with layout, vector, and type
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, etc.
- Required: Experience with print design and production, including bleeds, color modes, resolution, and preparing files for press
also valuable, but not required
- Experience with Figma
- Photo editing and retouching skills in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom (a major plus)
- Photography, lighting, and/or camera experience
what makes you a great fit
You love visuals, visual identity and get along well in the Adobe suite, you are passionate about design but also about logistics and standards. You like working on a team collaboratively and willing to be hands on and learn in a bunch of different ways even when working with different departments.
You are genuinely interested in intentional technology use, and you are curious about what it would mean to live with your phone less. Bonus if you have already spent time on a flip phone or dumbphone.
compensation & benefits
$20/hr (40 hrs/week) in NYC, with potential for full-time conversion. includes a free dumbphone and monthly plan.
