Part-Time Research Associate — Molecular Biology Laboratory

Part-time, on-site | 24–30 hours/week | $25–$30/hour

BioTarget DX, LLC develops molecular biomarkers for cancer using human tissue and respiratory specimens. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Research Associate to support molecular biology laboratory research.

Responsibilities

• Perform DNA/RNA extraction, RT-PCR, ELISA, and related molecular assays.
• Prepare reagents, buffers, and controls and operate standard laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate experimental, sample, quality-control, and inventory records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, biotechnology, biomedical sciences, or a related field, or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with pipetting, PCR/RT-PCR, and DNA/RNA extraction is required.
• Ability to follow SOPs, maintain accurate records, and work independently after training.
• Ability to work consistently on-site in Baltimore.
• U.S. work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Position Details: Part-time W-2, hourly/non-exempt; $25–$30/hour based on experience; approximately 24–30 hours per week; one-year appointment with possible extension based on funding and performance. Start date: as soon as possible.
