Media, Communications and PR Internship
General Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a professional attitude and strong work ethic by performing all of the duties and responsibilities of the position in a manner that aligns with Don Lee Center’s expectations
- Work cooperatively with fellow staff to build a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Work cooperatively with Don Lee Center’s leadership team and direct on-site supervisor to fulfill any internship requirements outside of the responsibilities listed below.
- Abide by all camp rules and policies; maintain confidentiality with regard to sensitive information gained in the work environment and report any issues directly to main supervisor
- Participate openly and honestly in the evaluation process and be open to feedback and constructive criticism
- Attend staff development in full and be prompt for all staff meetings and in-service trainings
- Work a minimum of 5 of weeks (approx. 450 hours)
Specific Responsibilities:
- Take and upload 200+ photos daily, capturing positive snapshots of each camper and staff member multiple times throughout each day
- Upload and organize pictures for upcoming promotional pieces
- Film videos and make other multimedia promotional pieces in addition to daily photos
- Organize daily photo and video sessions to be used for camp social media to help in the promotion of summer camp and the Don Lee public image
- Create a weekly video or slideshow for Friday night closing ceremony
- Help coordinate all media use for all camp functions, i.e. projection, music, video and audio for presentations and special events including worship and the talent show
- Organize and inventory promotional materials in the camp store and generate new designs and items to be sold
- Participate in all camp-wide activities.
- Have a good attitude and be devoted to caring for the lives of campers.
