Lab Technician

Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Pay Rate: $22/hr
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Type: Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lab Technician to process GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS data following instrumental analysis for drugs-of-abuse testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong laboratory background and experience working with analytical instruments and biological specimens.

Responsibilities

Read, understand, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Correctly identify samples and verify batch sequences for accuracy.

Process instrument data and generate appropriate reports.

Perform the first review of GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS analytical data according to assay SOPs.

Enter or upload test results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for final review and certification.

Maintain accurate Chain of Custody and batch documentation.

Communicate with supervisors and promptly escalate issues or challenges.

Follow all laboratory safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.

Ability to safely work with biological specimens, chemicals, laboratory equipment, and analytical instruments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with biological specimens.

Hands-on experience with GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS.

Laboratory experience in analytical testing or clinical/toxicology testing.
