Hotel Operations Associate

Hotel Operations AssociateYork Beach, Maine | On-Site | Full-Time (Seasonal)

The Hotel Operations Associate keeps the motel running smoothly from the inside out. You'll be embedded in daily operations — from managing staff schedules and supply orders to covering the front desk and reporting directly to the Director of Operations. **What you'll do**

- Plan, coordinate, and execute day-to-day motel operations to keep service standards high- Organize housekeeping and staff scheduling, logistics, and transportation- Drive training and cross-training across the team so guest experience never slips- Compile and total time cards for all hourly employees; deliver to the Director of Operations weekly- Become fully versed in front desk operations and cover shifts as needed- Monitor day-to-day operational costs and report updates to the Director of Operations regularly- Track supply inventory, own basic procurement, maintain food stock, and manage maintenance schedules- Uphold and recommend best practices; make sure staff are properly trained and following policies- Collect and relay guest feedback to management- Flag and communicate opportunities to improve the guest experience with the Director of Operations and Front Desk Manager- Coordinate with front desk weekly to plan ahead based on occupancy and upcoming events- Weekly check-in meeting with Director of Operations- Send a weekly summary email covering: key accomplishments, the plan for the following week, and any issues or blockers- Ad hoc staff transportation and supply runs (valid driver's license and clean driving record required)- Occasional moving of supplies or equipment as needed

**Schedule**

Seasonal position running early April through late October. Typically 5–6 days per week, ~8 hours on-site per day. Expect 40+ hours per week during the season. You'll need to be available on weekends and holidays during peak periods. Weekly schedule is set with the Director of Operations. You're entitled to a 1-hour lunch break and 30-minute breaks every six hours.

**What you bring**

- Experience coordinating schedules and activities across a small business or multiple teams- Comfort leading process-improvement projects and communicating changes clearly — in person, by email, by text- Familiarity with spreadsheet tools and/or guest reservation systems (or similar software)- Some exposure to facility maintenance is a plus- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record- Physical ability to move supplies and equipment as needed- A genuine commitment to delivering an excellent guest experience
