Position Overview
As a Human Resources Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to core People Operations, Talent Management, and HR Business Partner (HRBP) workflows. In this role, you will provide direct support to the business by assisting with talent management, workforce planning, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations across the Nuclear Operations Group - Mt. Vernon business unit. Working closely with HR leadership, HRBPs, managers, and employees, you will help maintain critical talent frameworks, analyze employee sentiment metrics, and support organizational initiatives while building a strong foundation in HR strategy, employee relations, and project administration.

Onsite in Mt. Vernon, IN
Your Day to Day as an HR Intern:
- Assist with various HR projects focused on FLSA classification and compensation.
- Research, provide recommendations, and support process improvements to transition HR paper processes to electronic formats.
- Help administer and analyze employee feedback (engagement, onboarding, pulse, and exit interviews).
- Summarize qualitative employee sentiment data to help HR leadership identify workplace trends.
- Support HR Business Partners with basic documentation and action-item tracking.
- Assist in auditing and updating HR records and resources for employees and managers.
- Support seasonal HR initiatives, special projects, and programs as opportunities arise.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources or a related field.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive, confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance.
