HR Coordinator
An HR Coordinator supports the Human Resources department with employee administration, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, records, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. It is often a good entry-level or early-career HR position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment and hiring process, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Prepare onboarding paperwork and coordinate new-hire orientation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Assist employees with HR-related questions and requests.
- Process employment changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and employee benefits questions.
- Track attendance, time-off requests, and other employee information.
- Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, documents, and presentations.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Assist with performance reviews and employee engagement activities.
- Coordinate training programs and employee development initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is often preferred.
- 1–3 years of HR, administrative, recruiting, or customer-service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Experience with HRIS or applicant-tracking systems is a plus.
