Gain meaningful public accounting experience while completing your degree. As a Tax Intern at Teuscher Walpole, you will receive training, assist with real client work, and work directly with experienced accounting professionals. This paid, part-time internship is designed to build practical tax skills while providing flexibility around your class schedule.

You will support the tax team during the spring filing season by preparing workpapers, organizing and analyzing client information, assisting with tax returns, and helping the team meet important deadlines. Depending on firm needs and your interests, you may also gain exposure to audit or cost segregation work.

 

What You Will Do

  • Assist with the preparation of individual and business tax returns under the guidance of experienced professionals.
  • Prepare workpapers and supporting schedules using modern accounting and tax technology.
  • Organize and review client-provided financial information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Help gather information needed to prepare accurate and timely tax filings.
  • Support tax research, planning projects, and responses to tax-authority inquiries as assigned.
  • Communicate with team members and participate in training and professional development.
  • Assist with audit or cost segregation projects when opportunities arise.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and income tax concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, dependability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to protect confidential information and communicate professionally.
  • Availability to work a consistent part-time schedule during the spring tax season, coordinated around classes.
