Clear Dermatology & Aesthetics Center is a busy, thriving, and expanding private practice specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. We are seeking a mature, composed, positive, and highly motivated Cosmetic Medical Assistant to join our team.

About the Position
The Cosmetic Medical Assistant plays an important role in supporting our physicians while providing an exceptional patient experience. This position combines clinical medical assisting, detailed scribing, patient education, cosmetic treatment support, and sales.
The ideal candidate is confident, personable, organized, and able to build trust with patients. You should have a strong work ethic, high integrity, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine interest in cosmetic dermatology.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, biopsies, surgical excisions, Mohs procedures, laser treatments, and cosmetic procedures
- Obtain accurate and thorough patient medical histories and personal information
- Present concise and organized patient summaries to physicians
- Provide detailed and accurate scribing throughout each patient visit
- Prepare patients for surgical and cosmetic procedures, including administration of local anesthesia
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and pre- and post-procedure instructions
- Develop a strong knowledge of our cosmetic treatments, procedures, and skincare products and confidently educate patients about available options
- Generate enthusiasm for our cosmetic services while identifying appropriate opportunities to educate patients about treatments and products
- Take high-quality before-and-after photographs
- Schedule medical appointments and cosmetic procedures according to provider-specific scheduling protocols
- Triage patient phone calls and serve as an effective liaison between patients and physicians
- Communicate with physicians' offices, pharmacies, and patients
- Perform blood draws
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Utilize practice management and electronic medical record (EMR) systems efficiently
- Follow all clinical, operational, and patient-care protocols with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist with other clinical and operational responsibilities as needed

- Previous dermatology, plastic surgery, surgical, or cosmetic medical office experience preferred
- Previous medical assisting and/or scribing experience preferred
- BLS certification preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred
