As a vital member of the Minneapolis team, the Wealth Management Intern will deliver premier support to OnePoint Wealth Advisors and their clients.
Position Overview:
As an integral part of OnePoint BFG, the Wealth Management Intern will work directly out of our downtown Minneapolis office alongside firm Partners and industry leaders, gaining immersive, real-world experience in independent wealth management. In this role, you will drive key facets of our firm's fee-based financial planning workflows. You will specialize in complex case analysis, financial framework development, client data architecture, and custom asset-reporting initiatives—all while maintaining a concierge-level service standard for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Architecture & Design: Partner with senior planners to build comprehensive financial plans, high-impact client presentations, and specialized meeting frameworks.
- Case Analysis: Synthesize complex asset data and execute precise case analysis within financial planning software applications.
- Investment Proposal Construction: Formulate tailored, institutional investment proposals for prospective and incoming clients.
- Data Management: Manage the Client Relationship Management (CRM) ecosystem efficiently, championing data integrity and advisory team standards.
- Operational Oversight: Organize client case timelines, tracking meeting follow-ups and action items within the CRM to ensure flawless execution.
- Strategic Team Support: Collaborate alongside the Planning & Client Service teams to streamline daily operational workflows, compliance procedures, and custom firm initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a financial planning-related discipline.
- Strong experience of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with CRM architecture or financial planning platforms is a strong plus.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Standard full-time scheduling is 40 hours per week, with accurate daily time-tracking required. In compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), any additional hours worked over 40 within a single workweek will be compensated at the applicable overtime rate (1.5x hourly wage).
The position is based on-site in downtown Minneapolis, MN, with potential remote flex-work arrangements subject to agreement with firm leadership.
