Promotional Events Team Leader
Promotional Events Team Leader
Manhattan, NY | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | In-Person | W2
$51,000–$65,000 | Base Pay + Performance Bonuses
Confident with people? Put it to work.
We’re expanding our NYC events team and looking for a confident, outgoing person who knows how to connect with people. If you’re usually the one starting the conversation, bringing the energy, or making someone feel comfortable within a few minutes, those are exactly the qualities we can build on.
As an Event Promoter, you’ll work alongside our street team at pop-ups and campaign locations throughout New York City, approaching new people, creating interest around the event, and introducing the public to the organizations we represent.
Our current campaigns represent nationally recognized charities, making this a face-to-face sales and fundraising role at its core. You’ll use your personality and confidence to get people interested, explain the campaign, answer questions, and invite those who connect with the cause to become recurring monthly supporters.
Previous sales or promotions experience isn’t necessary. We’re much more interested in whether you’re comfortable putting yourself out there, can hold someone’s attention, and are willing to learn how to turn a great conversation into a result. We’ll provide the training and coaching from there.
A Typical Day
You’ll spend your day alongside our street team at pop-ups and campaign locations across NYC, meeting plenty of new people and learning what gets their attention.
- Approach people confidently and get conversations going
- Bring your own personality and energy to the event
- Introduce people to the charity, its mission, and current campaign
- Build interest, answer questions, and keep conversations engaging
- Turn interested conversations into recurring monthly support through face-to-face sales
- Work toward your own goals while contributing to the team’s results
- Get hands-on coaching to sharpen your communication, promotion, and sales skills along the way
A Strong Candidate
You don’t need to check every traditional experience box. A strong candidate is someone who:
- Is confident approaching people they’ve never met
- Has an outgoing personality and enjoys being around people
- Likes a little competition and is motivated by having a goal to beat
- Can read the room, think on their feet, and adjust their approach
- Takes coaching well and actually puts feedback into practice
- Brings reliable energy to the team, even when every conversation doesn’t go their way
Experience in hospitality, restaurants, nightlife, retail, athletics, promotions, street teams, customer service, or sales tends to translate well—but your previous job title matters less than your confidence, attitude, and willingness to learn.
You’ll need to be available full-time Monday–Friday, able to work in person in Manhattan, and authorized to work in the United States.
What We Offer
Along with base pay and performance bonuses, you’ll receive paid hands-on training, daily coaching, and personalized mentorship designed to help you get better at what you do.
As you develop, there are opportunities to take on more responsibility, move into leadership, travel with the team, and attend company conferences. This is a full-time W2 position, with health benefit assistance available after the qualifying period.
