Data Analytics Intern
The UT Office of Advancement is seeking a Data Analytics student intern for the Office of Annual Giving’s Digital Fundraising team. Digital Fundraising at UT Knoxville includes, but is not limited to, giving day, digital marketing, crowdfunding, internal fundraising campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraising, recurring giving, and philanthropic commerce.
The work includes organizing over 8,000 different transactions into a system to audit and assign value to gifts that are matched during the university’s day of giving, Big Orange Give. Once the data is audited and assigned, the intern will create reports around ROI, thresholds of diminishing returns, frequency of giving, etc. The student intern will work directly with the Director of Advancement for Annual Giving.
This intern will:
- Review and organize individual transactions made during Big Orange Give.
- Research missing data points like allocation names or abnormal transactions.
- Create process for sorting transactions into qualified match documents
- Consolidate individual match transactions into final account document for money transfer
- Create reports based on analysis of data for use in driving future match strategy

Hourly Wage: $12/hour
Hours Per Week: Up to 20 hours per week
Time Frame: August 2026 – May 2027
Office Location: Tyson Alumni House, Room 206 with hybrid work schedule
