Sports Business Research Intern

Job title: Sports Business Research & Partnerships Intern 

NY Playmakers is seeking a Sports business Research and Partnership Intern to support sponsorship development, recruiting research, event research, partnerships and outreach initiatives within the growing flag football ecosystem.  This internship is designed for students interested in sports management, marketing, communications, recruiting, and business development. The intern will work on projects involving youth organizations, collegiate programs, international tournaments opportunities, sponsors, coaches, trainers and other industry stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Current undergraduate student
  • Strong interest in sports business, marketing , communications, and athletics
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working with Excel and Google Sheets
  • Comfortable contacting coaches and business professionals
  • Familiarity with navigating social media platforms for research

What to expect:

  • Approximately 20-25 hours per week
  • 12-week internship term
  • Primarily in-person at WEWORK Columbus with hybrid flexibility depending on candidate.
  • Hours will be structured to accommodate intern’s academic schedule.

Stipend:

Internship stipend of approximately $1500-$2500 to be paid at the completion of the internship.
