Postdoctoral Scholar - Translational Gastroenterology Diseases (UC Davis, Sacramento)
Role & Project:
Join an elite translational group studying liver/colon metabolic diseases and chemotherapy/immunotherapy resistance. We bridge wet-lab functional genomics with computational biology to drive novel drug and biomarker discovery. The position focuses heavily on career development and mentorship; early-stage candidates are highly encouraged.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Nutrition, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Essential Wet-Lab Skills: In vivo animal research/models in cancer and metabolic diseases, mammalian cell culture (3D organoids), tissue engineering, core molecular biology, and biochemistry assays.
- Essential Dry-Lab Skills: Bioinformatics, multi-omics data analysis. Experience with machine learning frameworks is highly desirable.
- Communication: Fluent English communication and a strong scientific writing track record.
