Website Design & Strategic Communications Intern

Are you passionate about disaster resilience and helping communities save lives, livelihoods, and futures? The Global Resilience Foundation (GRF) is seeking a creative, forward-thinking intern to help shape our digital presence from the ground up.

This isn’t just building a website. It is a collaborative, strategic exploration alongside foundation leadership to define how GRF communicates, engages stakeholders, and drives real-world impact. We want to open an interactive conversation with you rather than hand down a rigid task list.

What You Will Do (The "Doing")

Strategic Exploration: Work directly with GRF leadership to define site goals, narrative direction, and key messaging.

Multi-Audience Engagement: Design tailored digital pathways that speak to diverse groups—including communities served, donors, corporate partners, service providers, and sponsors.

Web Presence & Rollout: Develop and launch a compelling, user-friendly digital presence that expands on our core mission (see www.grfinc.org).

Community Research: Conduct independent information collection to help GRF meet communities at any stage of disaster preparedness and recovery.

Internship Compliance & Academic Credit

This is an unpaid, educational internship designed primarily for the professional development of the intern, operating in full compliance with the U.S. Department of Labor Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Primary Beneficiary Test. GRF provides flexible scheduling around academic commitments, direct mentorship, and full support for candidates seeking academic credit through their institution. Completion of this internship does not guarantee or imply future paid employment.
