Position Summary

The Marketing Intern will support the pediatric practice's marketing and community outreach efforts while gaining hands-on experience in healthcare marketing. This role focuses on creating engaging content, managing social media platforms, assisting with patient education campaigns, promoting practice services, and strengthening the practice's presence within the local community. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping families access quality pediatric healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns to promote pediatric services, wellness programs, and community events.
  • Create engaging content for social media, newsletters and the practice website.
  • Design marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, posters, and digital advertisements.
  • Monitor and update social media accounts, including posting content and responding to appropriate inquiries.
  • Research marketing trends, competitor activities, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Assist with organizing and promoting community outreach activities and practice-sponsored programs.
  • Help track marketing metrics and prepare reports on campaign performance and social media engagement.
  • Maintain consistency in branding and messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and administration to identify marketing opportunities and promote patient-centered initiatives.
  • Assist with photography, video content creation, and other digital media projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite & Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • Experience with Canva or other graphic design tools.
  • Experience creating social media content and managing social media accounts.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, pediatric services, or family-focused marketing.
  • Basic understanding of website content management systems and email marketing platforms.

Compensation

This is a paid position.  $20-$23 per hour depending on experience.
